The insert effectively acts as the entire waterjet cutting head, aligning the waterjet stream to the nozzles and feeding abrasive into the cutting stream at the optimal angle. Incoming abrasive is directed in-line with the stream to the top of the abrasive nozzle. Turbulence inside the head is minimized, eliminating the need for mixing chambers and extending orifice life.
